MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Sunday’s rain-maker exits the area with a pleasant stretch of weather through most of the week.

MONDAY

Overnight showers will be well off shore by daybreak on Monday. Areas of fog will be likely through the morning commute with temperatures early Monday morning in the middle 60s inland and upper 60s near the beaches.

The fog will give way to clearing skies through the late morning with plenty of sunshine and lower humidity on tap for the afternoon. Temperatures will climb into the lower 80s.

MID WEEK

A stretch of comfortable and dry weather settles in for the middle of the week. With sunny skies and low humidity, daytime temperatures will hold steady in the lower 80s with overnight readings generally in the 60s. Plenty of sunshine will continue through Thursday.

LATE WEEK

The forecast for the end of the week into next weekend gets a bit more complicated with an area of low pressure likely to develop off shore. While the chance of any tropical development from this system is low, a period of breezy and unsettled weather may develop for Friday into parts of the weekend.

Low pressure developing off shore could bring unsettled weather late in the week.

The forecast will be highly dependent on the strength and track of the low pressure. If it remains off shore or heads out to sea, rain chances would be slim. If it were to move into the SC or GA coast, the much better chances of rain would be likely. We’ll continue to fine tune the forecast through the week.
