FIRST ALERT: Severe threat is over, another round of storms late tonight
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Stalled front continues to bring in moisture to produce scattered storms.
MORE RAIN ON THE WAY
The severe weather threat is over for today. That same stalled front will continue to funnel in moisture across our area. Scattered showers and storms begin to enter the Pee Dee after midnight and will slowly move across our area by 7am. Work commute we’ll be tracking scattered showers and storms, but we’ll have a brief break from rain by late morning.
But then a second round of showers and storms will move in by lunch time. The severe threat is very low but I wouldn’t rule out a strong storm or two. The Storm Prediction Center has put our area under a level 1 very low risk for severe weather. The main threat being damaging winds and hail.
Rain chances will stick around tomorrow night. We’ll have chances to for isolated showers from Monday night through Tuesday morning. We’ll be done with the rain by Tuesday afternoon and we’re expecting a dry weather for the rest of the work week.
ANOTHER TEMPERATURE ROLLERCOASTER
We start off the work week in the 70s for Monday, but once the front pushes off to sea, our high temperatures are going to drop in the mid 60s. But then we’ll rebound back in the low to mid 70s by the end of the week.
