FIRST ALERT: Milder temperatures but more clouds this weekend
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - This week’s cool snap will continue to give way to warmer temperatures and more clouds at times this weekend.
Temperatures will turn cool again tonight, but not as cold as the last few. Temperatures will be warmest along the Grand Strand with readings near 50 by daybreak Saturday. Inland areas will be the coolest where temperatures drop into the lower 40s.
Temperatures will warm a few more degrees this weekend with afternoon readings in the lower 70s both Saturday and Sunday. Nighttime temperatures will also warm into the lower to middle 50s.
Low pressure just off shore will throw clouds into the area at times especially late Saturday through early Sunday. While most of the rain will stay off shore and just north of the region, a stray sprinkle or brief, light shower could blow on shore late Saturday night or early Sunday.
Temperatures will continue to warm into next week with afternoon temperatures reaching the upper 70s to near 80. While no big weather makers are in the foreast, a spotty shower or two could develop at times through the middle of the week.
