FIRST ALERT: Enjoy the weekend, heat and humidity return next week
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Comfortable temperatures and lower humidity linger through the weekend before heat and humidity make a comeback next week.
Another comfortable and fall-like night is on tap. Friday night football games will feel fantastic with low humidity and temperatures dropping into the 70s. Overnight lows will again fall to around 60 inland and into the middle and upper 60s along the beaches.
Unlike last weekend, the upcoming weekend will feature plenty of sunshine and opportunities to get outside to enjoy! Highs each day will reach lower 80s on the beaches with the mid 80s inland. Sunny skies and low humidity will continue through Saturday. By Sunday, a weak low pressure system over the Atlantic will stream in a few more clouds but the forecast remains rain-free. Highs on Sunday will reach the lower to mid 80s once again with slightly more humidity.
There are many events happening this weekend and you can’t ask for a better forecast. Be sure to stop by the Home & Outdoor Show at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center this weekend and say hello to some of the WMBF News and First Alert Weather team.
The most recent bout of pleasant weather will turn hot and humid once again by next week as afternoon temperatures soar into the upper 80s and lower 90s. Pleasant nights will turn steamy once again with overnight readings only dropping into the lower 70s. Despite the return of high humidity, the forecast will remain rain-free through most of the week.
